In addition to winning the highly coveted award in 2004, O'Melveny received honorable mention or was chosen among the finalists in 2002, 2006, 2008, and 2010, making us one of only two US law firms that have both won the top award and achieved a clean sweep in the five contests covering the last 10 years.

- O'Melveny was honored with the 2009 "Peacebuilders Award" from the Western Justice Center Foundation for its long-time support of the center and its mission to increase opportunities for peaceful conflict resolution and displace the power of violence in society.

- Public Counsel (2009)
- In 2009, the public interest law firm Public Counsel honored a group of O’Melveny lawyers for their outstanding pro bono advocacy, which included an asylum case and a favorable settlement in litigation against a Southern California city for its failure to comply with low-income housing obligations under state redevelopment law.

- Ford's Theatre Society (2009)
- In Washington, DC, Ford's Theatre Society recently recognized O'Melveny for its pro bono legal services in support of extensive renovations to the historic building—ADA compliance, acquisition of a neighboring storefront for lobby space, labor issues, contracts—and a related capital campaign.
