Abby Johnston is a counsel in O’Melveny’s New York office and a member of the Business Trial and Litigation and Securities Litigation Practices. Abby has represented clients on a variety of claims, including employment, insurance, ERISA, contract, and securities. Her experience ranges from defending corporations to individuals, at trial, arbitration and mediation.

- Representing a major US insurance company in complex insurance coverage litigation
- Represented an international hotel chain in a wage and hour class action involving meal and rest break claims which settled
- Represented an energy company in an ERISA suit alleging prohibited transactions and breach of fiduciary duty in connection with 401(k) Plan
- Represented a communications technology company in federal securities fraud lawsuit and related derivative action alleging false statements and improper accounting. Settled.
In addition, Abby devotes a significant amount of time each year to pro bono matters. She has represented clients in employment, housing, and criminal matters, and recently argued a case based on ineffective assistance of counsel before the New York Appellate Division.
