O’Melveny's DC Office Receives High Diversity Ranking

In a special law firm diversity report, Legal Times ranked O’Melveny & Myers third out of 30 Washington, DC-area law firms in the percentage of lawyers who are women. According to the November 5, 2007 article, “Diverse Problems in DC Firms” that accompanied the report, while the pressures from clients and efforts of firms have produced "meaningful change" in the diversity of law firms in DC generally, they still need to make significant progress in promoting diversity, particularly among the partnership ranks. And, the article notes that firms have had greater successes in narrowing the gender gap than the racial gap.
