Carla Christofferson


Carla Christofferson is Managing Partner of O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Business Trial and Litigation Practice. She is a member of The American Lawyer’s 2004 “Litigation Department of the Year,” and was featured when the firm was a Finalist again in 2011. Carla focuses on commercial civil litigation, including litigation involving consumer class action, Proposition 65, unfair trade practices, natural resources, environmental, and contract disputes.

In addition to her legal practice, Carla served as the Talent Development Partner for O’Melveny from 2004-2006 and is currently a member of the Firm’s Policy Committee. Carla is a recognized leader in the Los Angeles community and a frequent speaker on topics related to leadership and diversity.

  • Twenty-year representation of a retail grocery chain in various actions involving unfair business practices claims, Proposition 65 claims, and contract claims - including a 5 week trial that resulted in complete defense verdict for client

  • Representation of a petroleum company in litigation involving multiple individual and class actions resulting from an oil spill - most recently including a trial in Alaska resulting in a victory and award of fees and costs in favor of client
