Christopher C. Kendall is an associate in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles Office and a member of the White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Practice within the Litigation Department. Chris’ practice focuses on representing individuals and institutions in white collar enforcement matters, internal investigations, and complex civil litigation, often within the healthcare industry. Representative matters include:
  • Representation of health insurance company in litigation and arbitration relating to contract dispute over proper reimbursement of TRICARE claims to healthcare providers
  • Representation of national bank in action involving successor liability related to mortgage-backed securities
  • Representation of Japanese manufacturer in dispute over pension benefits
  • Representation of health insurance company in internal investigation relating to potential illegal kickback scheme
  • Representation of financial services company in SEC investigation

In addition, Chris is an active member of the firm’s pro bono practice. In addition to acting as the firm’s coordinator for foster parent adoptions with the Alliance for Children’s Rights, Chris has represented pro bono clients in a wide range of matters, including:
  • Representation of the People of California and trial counsel for Redondo Beach City Attorney’s Office in the prosecution of a DUI offender
  • Representation of Iraqi refugee in immigration proceedings
  • Representation of Mexican-American immigrant in Ninth Circuit appeal of removal order
  • Representation of defendant-intervenors in litigation concerning the constitutionality of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act
  • Representation of seven different families in foster parent adoption proceedings
  • On-going clinical representation for the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Project

Chris is also an active member of the O’Melveny community. He serves on the Community Involvement Committee, a group responsible for facilitating O’Melveny’s involvement in various community service activities.
