Gordon Ng

Gordon Ng is a partner in O’Melveny’s Hong Kong office and a member of the Capital Markets Practice. Gordon focuses on corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. He has experience in a wide range of general commercial and corporate finance transactions, including advising on legislation, compliance and regulatory work, corporate restructuring, advising clients under investigation by regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong, acquisitions and disposals of shares of private companies, sale and purchase of assets and businesses, due diligence, joint ventures, agency and distribution arrangements and general commercial advice, listing companies on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (both Main Board and GEM Board), general corporate finance matters and take-over of listed companies. Gordon was involved in advising GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited on its US$3.2 billion acquisition of Jiangsu Zhongneng Polysilicon Technology Development Co., Ltd. He is one of the few practitioners in Hong Kong who has assisted mining companies including Real Gold Mining Limited, to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange using Chapter 18 listing rules.
Prior to joining the Firm, Gordon was a partner with two international law firms in Hong Kong. Gordon lectures regularly on a variety of subjects including corporate acquisitions and the listing of companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the GEM Board.
