Jennifer Tumbuan has been in practice since 1998 and has extensive legal experience both in private practice and in-house, having previously acted as in-house counsel for an Indonesian publicly-listed coal mining company. She specializes in mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, capital markets and mining projects in Indonesia.

As part of the association, O’Melveny partner Joel Hogarth relocated to Indonesia as a consultant to Tumbuan & Partners. Our senior Indonesian legal consultant, Ratih (Ipop) Nawangsari also splits her time between Indonesia and Singapore.

Our Indonesia practice represents both Indonesian corporate groups on their cross-border activities, as well as international corporations, financial institutions, and investment funds investing and doing business in Indonesia. We provide a full service cross-border corporate practice for Indonesian corporate groups and have represented some of Indonesia’s largest companies on their finance and equity transactions within Indonesia, as well as their outbound acquisitions and investments and their international disputes. We also represent a wide range of international clients in their Indonesian activities, including advising international corporations on their inbound mergers and acquisitions and investments, banks on international financing transactions, underwriters on capital markets transactions, and fund managers on Indonesia focused funds.
