Jeffrey S. Held is a partner in O’Melveny’s New York office, a member of the Transactions Department, and the Hiring Partner for the New York office.
Jeff is a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice, and he is also Head of the New York office’s Real Estate Practice. In his private equity practice, Jeff has counseled private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on a wide variety of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint venture arrangements, strategic investments and financings. Jeff also advises his clients on general corporate matters, including working with management on various types of employment and equity arrangements.
As the head of the New York office’s real estate practice, Jeff has been involved in numerous stand-alone real estate transactions, as well as providing real estate guidance and assistance in significant corporate and financing transactions. Jeff has extensive experience in the purchase, sales, financing, and development of improved and unimproved commercial real estate properties throughout the United States, and he has been involved in numerous cross-border transactions as well. Jeff has also represented both landlords and tenants in sophisticated office and retail leasing projects, working with clients on both operating and net lease arrangements.
As part of his real estate practice, Jeff’s clients have included national and international entertainment companies, hotel and restaurant owners and operators, and he has been involved in a wide range of hotel and restaurant transactions, including acquisitions, development, management and operating arrangements, leasing and licensing arrangements and financings. In addition, Jeff was selected for inclusion in the 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011 listings of New York’s
SuperLawyers, which acknowledges outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas.
