Karen Rinehart

Counsel

Karen Rinehart is a counsel in O’Melveny's Los Angeles office and a member of the Restructuring Practice.  She was recognized as a Southern California “Rising Star” in a survey conducted by Law & Politics Media Inc. and published in Los Angeles magazine and the Southern California edition of Super Lawyers (2004, 2005, 2006).

Her practice emphasizes creditors’ rights and trustee representation.  Karen’s matters include executory contracts, defense of preference actions, setoff/recoupment, asset acquisition in reorganization, and general partner liability.  She has achieved successful resolutions through negotiation and litigation, including a case of first impression for the Central District of California. 

Karen’s practice also includes general corporate counseling, product line and asset sales, business formation, contract negotiation, and intellectual property protection.
