Kevin Li

Associate

Kevin Li is an associate in O'Melveny's Beijing office and a member of the Capital Markets Practice within the Transactions Department. His experience includes capital markets, private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions and other types of securities and investment work. He has advised both underwriters and issuers in multiple initial public offerings and listings in Hong Kong including the Reg S and 144A securities offerings.

Prior to joining the firm, Kevin served at a top-tier international law firm in Hong Kong for over two years. He also gained experience in legal department of a major US bank and enforcement division of a state securities regulator in the US.

• Represented a major Chinese bank in its US$3.9 billion global offering and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange;
• Represented a chain operator of department stores and supermarkets in China in its US$548 million global offering and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange;
• Represented a Chinese mining company in its US$266 million global offering and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange;
• Represented a manufacturer of consumer products in China in its US$228 million global offering and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange;
• Represented a Hong Kong listed issuer in its acquisition of a clean-energy company in China;
• Represented several private equity firms in restructuring of US$700 million worth debts and warrants issued by a private entity; and
• Advised Hong Kong listed issuers on Hong Kong listing rules and securities compliance matters.
