NEW YORK, NY - O’Melveny & Myers LLP has named Ilan S. Nissan as the firmwide co-chair of its Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group. Nissan, whose practice focuses on M&A transactions involving private equity and hedge funds, will lead the Firm’s global M&A efforts with London-based partner Greg Gilbert, who has served as a leader in the M&A Practice since 2006.

O’Melveny’s M&A Practice remains a strategic priority for the Firm and the Firm’s deep footprint in the landscape throughout the US, Asia, and European markets has become increasingly critical to its clients. The experienced tandem of Nissan in New York and Gilbert in London enhances the Firm’s ability to advise clients on an integrated global basis on their most important transactions. Nissan and Gilbert, along with the Firm’s team of highly skilled lawyers, will continue to develop creative strategies in a challenging market.

About Ilan Nissan

Nissan received his undergraduate degree from The State University of New York at Albany. He received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. His practice focuses on the representation of private equity and hedge funds and their portfolio companies in a wide array of transactions, adversarial matters, and other strategic matters.
