O’Melveny Recognized as a Leading Firm for Antitrust and Competition
O’Melveny’s global Antitrust and Competition Practice has obtained a string of significant victories in recent months for several of its clients, including Advanced Micro Devices, Asiana Airlines, eBay Inc., and Honeywell International Inc. Successes for these and other clients have prompted a variety of legal publications to recognize O’Melveny as a top antitrust practice.
For example, O'Melveny was recently chosen as the “Best Law Firm in Washington DC for Antitrust Work 2009/10” by Corporate INTL Magazine. Corporate INTL, one of the leading monthly titles for business leaders, professional advisers and providers of finance, annually researches firms worldwide to determine the top firms in 12 practice areas, broken down by geography. Once the top firms have been selected, a panel of judges selects the winner in each category based on successes for clients during the last year. O’Melveny will be featured within a forthcoming edition of the magazine.
In addition, O’Melveny was short-listed for the Chambers USA Award for Excellence in Antitrust for 2010, to be announced on June 10. Firms are nominated for the award on the basis of achievements over the last 12 months, and feedback from both clients and peers.
O'Melveny is also a finalist for the title of "Best USA Law Firm―Antitrust and Competition" at the International Legal Awards 2010, scheduled for June 3. The Awards are presented by Leaders League in conjunction with the Practical Law Company, Association of Corporate Counsel (Europe), The European Lawyer, Magazine Decideurs, The International Jurists Council and multiple bar associations. The finalists were selected by a jury of general counsel.
