LOS ANGELES -- JUNE 7, 2012 -- O'Melveny & Myers LLP made a strong showing in the 2012 edition of
Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, with 63 lawyers and 35 practice areas recognized. Three O'Melveny practices are ranked in the top tier of leading practices in the guide; among those, one is ranked in the top tier nationally. The guide also ranks 11 O'Melveny lawyers in the top tier of leading lawyers, with four listed in the top tier nationally.

The three O’Melveny practice areas ranked in the top tier in the guide are: ERISA Litigation (nationwide); Litigation: General Commercial: Highly Regarded (New York); and Media & Entertainment: Transactional (California). Antitrust: Cartel (nationwide) is included in the spotlight table.

These rankings are given to lawyers with exceptional recommendations in their field. Apalla Chopra, Jonathan Hacker, and Rob Plesnarski were recognized by Chambers USA as "Up and Coming" in their practice areas. Hacker and Tancred Schiavoni, who was ranked in Band 3 for Energy: Electricity (Regulatory & Litigation) and Insurance: Dispute Resolution: Insurer, made their debut appearance in this year’s guide.
