O’Melveny Assists Clients in Turkish Fundraisings

LONDON ─ MARCH 16, 2012 ─ O’Melveny & Myers LLP announced that it advised Pera Capital Partners Fund I, a mid-market Turkish private equity fund, in its first closing with over €40 million (US$52 million) in commitments from leading institutional investors, fund of funds, and family offices. The fund will focus on mid-market growth capital investments and will target transactions that range between €5 and €15 million (US$7 and US$20 million). The fund has a target size of €120 million (US$157 million).
The London-based team in this transaction comprised partner John Daghlian, counsel Anita Roberts, and trainee solicitor Rory McDonagh.
This is the latest in a number of Turkish fundraisings where O'Melveny has acted for a Turkish general partners, with recent mandates including fundraisings for Turkven and Crescent Capital. O’Melveny has also represented limited partners in cornerstone investments in Turkey-focused private equity funds.
