Cybersecurity Law Report: Six Ways to Address Privacy Concerns in Biometric Vendor Contracts

O’Melveny special counsel Scott Pink was quoted in Cybersecurity Law Report’s detailed examination of data security and privacy considerations amidst the growing usage of biometrics for identity verification and access control.

When looking at shared liability between corporates and the biometrics service providers with whom they contract, Pink cautioned that “at a minimum, [companies] should get indemnification against claims arising from the security of the software and other aspects of the biometric tools that the vendor controls.”
