Daily Journal: Disney Hires Petrocelli to Lead Fight Against Florida’s DeSantis

O’Melveny partner Daniel Petrocelli has filed a lawsuit on behalf of Disney against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis alleging a “relentless campaign to weaponize government power against Disney in retaliation for expressing a political viewpoint.” The dispute stems from comments that Disney made regarding a Florida bill that was passed last year. In response, DeSantis appointed a new board to govern the special district where Walt Disney World is located.
