Deadline: Disney Lashes Back At Original ‘Predator’ Scribes’ Hunt For Rights To 1987 Schwarzenegger Starrer

Deadline reported that a copyright suit concerning the rights to the Predator sci-fi action movie franchise starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is underway, amid speculation that Disney-owned 20th Century Studios has plans for a fifth Predator movie.
Original screenwriters Jim and John Thomas are seeking to challenge Disney’s rights to the franchise after the expiration of a 35-year transfer period later in 2021, the publication noted. O’Melveny partners Daniel Petrocelli and Molly Lens and counsel Kendall Turner are representing Disney in the case.
