Global Competition Review (GCR) has ranked O’Melveny & Myers LLP as “Highly Recommended” in the regions of California, New York and Washington, DC. O’Melveny partners Ian Simmons and Ben Bradshaw were lauded for their roles in leading the firm’s Antitrust practice from all three regions. GCR recognized O’Melveny’s current defense of Google against four antitrust cases brought by a game developer, 36 state attorneys general, and punitive classes of consumers accusing the tech giant of illegal monopolization through its Google Play Store. The firm also convinced a California federal court to arbitrate antitrust claims against DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket package, helped Samsung Bioepis defeat illegal settlement allegations for delaying entry of a biosimilar version of Humira, and defended Samsung against price-fixing allegations for dynamic random access memory (DRAM). Additionally, O’Melveny is highlighted for representing American Airlines in its monopolization lawsuit against Sabre, defending CR Bard against claims that they illegally “tied the sale of its tip locations systems to a line of central catheters,” and acting for Capital One against conspiracy claims.
