Law360: 4th Circ. Won’t Rehear Golden Corral’s Virus Coverage Suit

The Fourth Circuit denied Golden Corral’s request to rehear its appeal to a North Carolina federal court’s ruling that the restaurant chain did not qualify for pandemic-related insurance coverage under its US$50 million policy with Illinois Union Insurance Co. According to Law360’s COVID-19 Insurance Case Tracker, Federal district courts have permanently tossed about 48% of the 1,405 suits from policyholders against their insurance companies seeking pandemic loss-related coverage.
