The team reported concerns made by non-player personnel surrounding the workplace environment. Although the team did not identify specific individuals, multiple publications reported that the investigation centers around the team’s president of basketball operations and general manager Neil Olshey. The Trail Blazers released a statement saying that they “immediately engaged O’Melveny & Myers, an outside firm with significant expertise in this area, to conduct a full, fair and independent review into these concerns and will take appropriate action based on its outcome.”
