O’Melveny & Myers LLP has hired AnnaLou Tirol as a partner in Washington, DC, in its white collar defense and corporate investigations practice. The former deputy director of the financial crimes enforcement network (FinCEN) is also joining the firm’s fintech and national security groups. “O’Melveny is renowned for attracting high-caliber government lawyers who are leading specialists in their field,” Tirol said. “I have been impressed by the firm’s strength and leadership in the crypto and fintech sectors.” O’Melveny chair Bradley J. Butwin said Tirol has “worked at the highest levels of financial services and fintech regulation and enforcement” and that the firm’s clients “will be well served by both her deep knowledge of the subject and her insider experience.” O’Melveny Fintech chair William K.
