MLex: US Commerce Cuts Off Russia’s Access to Memory Chips, Computers, High-Tech Goods

The US Commerce Department has restricted exports to Russia of various high-tech products as part of President Joe Biden’s sanctions on the country following its military offensive in Ukraine. Biden’s strategy continues to issue “targeted sanctions rather than broader sanctions on all business in Russia,’ chair of O’Melveny’s National Security Group Greta Lichtenbaum said. “The question is whether that approach changes if Russia expands its incursions into Ukraine.”
