New York State Bar Association: Eliminating Standardized Test Requirements, Ending Legacy Admissions Key To Diversity In Wake of US Supreme Court Ruling

The New York State Bar Association’s Executive Committee approved a report by the association’s Task Force on Advancing Diversity that makes recommendations to colleges and graduate schools on how to achieve diversity in the wake of the US Supreme Court’s ruling that found race-conscious policies at Harvard University and the University of North Carolina violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Numerous law firm chairs are on the task force, including O’Melveny chair Bradley Butwin.
