The San Francisco Chronicle: Oakland Roots Board Dispute Goes to Arbitration; Fans Allowed for Home Games

O’Melveny is representing Oakland Roots SC, a Bay Area soccer club founded in 2018, in an arbitration-bound civil suit filed by a co-founder who alleges his recent removal from the club’s board and management team was unjust, this article reported.

O’Melveny partner Amy Park provided a quote to the Chronicle: “As I’m sure you’ve seen, the Roots and its managing members have filed a motion to compel arbitration of Mr. Nagel’s claims pursuant to a binding arbitration agreement governing the claims. We are confident in our approach and position, and look forward to a positive resolution in due course.”
