Reuters: Media, Tech Dealmaker Jumps to O’Melveny in New York

Matthew Syrkin has joined O’Melveny in New York to serve as co-chair of the firm’s media and technology group. O’Melveny chair Bradley Butwin said that Syrkin will help the firm meet demand for “sophisticated, innovative, and proactive counsel in the media and technology space.” Syrkin noted that O’Melveny’s background in the entertainment industry and its willingness to evolve was major draw for him. “Technology is now becoming so agnostic to industry, that there’s really a groundswell happening here,” Syrkin said.
