The Law Society (UK): Legal Champions of the Most Vulnerable Feted

Solicitors who have made substantial contributions to society were recognized at the 2021 Law Society Awards. “The diverse activities our award winners have been involved in range from providing pro bono assistance to help Asylum Aid handle statelessness within the UK,” the publication wrote, “to supporting bewildered working parents during the pandemic and freeing maritime hostages.” O’Melveny won the “Excellence in Pro Bono” award along with a number of other firms for its collaborative effort in assisting Asylum Aid with their vital work.
O’Melveny partner Jan Birtwell, and associates Rebecca Evans and Emma L. Drysdale, and trainee solicitor Aoife Fahy were part of the collaborative project.
