Euromoney Recognizes O’Melveny With Three Women in Business Law Awards

NEW YORK — June 29, 2016 — O’Melveny was named best international firm for women in business law, and also received the award for best international firm for gender diversity and work-life balance, at Euromoney Legal Media Group’s fifth annual Americas Women in Business Law Awards, held June 9, 2016, in New York. The awards acknowledge law firms and professional services firms for their efforts and achievements in helping women advance in the legal profession.

O’Melveny was recognized for such female-friendly programs as ParentWings, a resource for busy parents facing childrearing challenges that provides access to firm-subsidized, one-on-one consulting with vetted experts on a wide range of parenting issues (e.g., discipline, achieving milestones, starting solids, sleep training, pumping).

Another key program has come through O’Melveny’s partnership with Life Meets Work, which offers specialized coaching for leave transitions, including parental leave. The coaching program is designed to help participants prepare for leave, discuss the short and long-term impact on their careers, and develop solutions that maximize work-life effectiveness.
