O’Melveny Named A Top Family Friendly Firm By Yale Law Women

NEW YORK — July 11, 2016 — O’Melveny was named to Yale Law Women’s 2016 list of the Top Ten Family Friendly Firms. The firm also made this year’s list of the top five family friendly firms in California.

To produce its annual Family Friendly Firms List, Yale Law Women explores key indicators of family friendliness by collecting data on firms’ policies relating to part-time, parental leave, gender equity, billing requirements, professional development, and pro bono. The 2016 Family Friendly Firms scored the highest overall in the organization’s data analysis of these various metrics. This year Yale Law Women assessed nearly 70 firms based on publicly available data to recognize firms that are leading the way in developing and implementing family friendly practices and policies.

The recognition comes on the heels of the firm's recent awards from Euromoney Legal Media Group, which named O'Melveny Best International Firm for Women in Business Law, and Best International Firm for Gender Diversity and Work-Life Balance as part of its Women in Business Law Awards acknowledging law and professional services firms for their efforts and achievements in helping women advance in the legal profession.
