O’Melveny Partners Taylor, Vannini, Yu Named 2022 “Top Women in Dealmaking” by The Deal

LOS ANGELES—May 13, 2022—O’Melveny partners Jennifer Taylor, Silvia Vannini, and Wenting Yu have been selected to The Deal’s 2022 list of “Top Women in Dealmaking,” which honors exemplary women in the legal profession who have displayed excellence in their respective fields.
According to The Deal, the list identifies the top women as nominated by their peers and the publication’s team of researchers who are “setting the bar for the next generation of attorneys.”
Based in San Francisco, Taylor is a partner in O’Melveny’s Corporate Finance and Restructuring Practices. She is also a member of the firm’s Crypto & Blockchain and Emerging Technologies Groups. She has deep experience negotiating debt financing transactions of all varieties, including financings for leveraged buyouts, secured and unsecured working capital facilities, venture debt facilities, other structured financings, and DIP financing for debtors in bankruptcy. In the restructuring realm, Taylor represents clients in connection with workout transactions and Chapter 11 reorganizations. She also regularly represents investors in connection with distressed acquisitions of businesses and debt.
Based in Century City, Vannini is a partner in O’Melveny’s M&A Practice and a member of the firm’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Group. She advises public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters, both in and out of the entertainment industry. Vannini regularly represents private equity funds, domestic and foreign companies, motion picture studios, television networks as well as entrepreneurial clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, including company formation and structuring, acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, strategic alliances, financings, and dispositions.
Based in Silicon Valley, Yu is a partner in O’Melveny’s M&A, Fintech, and Life Sciences Practices and a member of the firm’s Crypto & Blockchain Group. She specializes in securities offerings, venture financings, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. She regularly assists startup, midsize, and large companies across a variety of industries, including fintech, technology, life sciences, Internet, mobile, software, semiconductor, gaming, clean energy, battery, and storage. Yu also has significant cross-border transaction experience, particularly with Cayman entities doing business in the U.S. and China.
