O’Melveny Represents Investor David Tepper in Acquisition of NFL’s Carolina Panthers

NEW YORK—July 9, 2018—O’Melveny represented David A. Tepper, Founder and President of Appaloosa L.P., on his acquisition of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. Terms of the deal, which closed today, were not disclosed.

Baker and Raij led the O’Melveny deal team, which spanned lawyers from coast to coast and guided Mr. Tepper through his winning bid for the team from original Panthers owner Jerry Richardson. NFL team owners voted to approve the purchase at their Spring Meeting in Atlanta.
