Paul Iannicelli is a counsel in O’Melveny’s Century City office and a member of the Entertainment, Sports and Media Practice.  Paul’s practice is wide-ranging and includes work in new media, IP licensing, finance, and traditional aspects of entertainment legal work.

Paul’s experience in new media and technology includes counseling both owners and licensees of motion pictures, television, music, and other intellectual property with respect to delivery of content through new platforms, such as internet transmission and mobile devices.  Paul’s clients in this area include motion picture studios, producers, content delivery services, hardware manufacturers, and videogame developers and publishers.

Another significant area of Paul’s practice is complex motion picture, television, and multimedia structured financing transactions, including representing borrowers, lenders, and investors in connection with slate financing transactions and single picture financings.  Paul has also been heavily involved with numerous tax-advantaged financings, both international and, more recently, US-based.

Paul also regularly counsels clients with respect to the production, co-financing, and distribution of motion pictures and other entertainment content.  One of his focuses is on complex copyright and trademark issues.  He also advises clients with respect to the intellectual property and entertainment aspects of transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.  In addition to the clients listed above, Paul represents animation producers, special effects providers, and professional sports franchises.
