Eric Chan

Associate


Eric Chan is an associate in O'Melveny's Los Angeles office, a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group, and a member of the Electronic Discovery and Document Retention Practice, both within the Litigation Department.  Eric focuses his practice on litigation, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property matters.  Eric has unique, hands-on experience handling large-scale electronic discovery issues as a result of his representation of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. in AMD v. Intel.  His electronic discovery experience includes litigating issues relating to the preservation, collection, processing and production of terabytes of electronic data and designing and managing large-scale document reviews.  He is also familiar with crafting document retention policies, including those relating to enterprise-wide information technology systems.  Eric is a co-author of BNA’s forthcoming practice guide, Spoliation of Electronically Stored Information, and is also a key contributor to BNA's recently released practice guide, Preserving Electronically Stored Information: A Practical Approach.
