Marie Bonitatibus represents health care clients in litigation and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining O’Melveny, Marie was an appellate counsel at a national appellate support services company. She provided procedural guidance and appellate practice advice to attorneys filing appeals in the New York State appellate courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and other state and federal appellate courts nationwide.
After graduating from law school, Marie served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department, Special Litigation Unit, where she handled high-profile and high-exposure cases. As an Assistant Corporation Counsel, Marie represented the City of New York and its mayoral agencies in all aspects of litigation, and successfully tried several cases to verdict in state and federal courts as lead trial counsel. While with the NYC Law Department, Marie received a “Legal Rookie of the Year” Award. Prior to law school, Marie enjoyed a rewarding career as a Nurse Practitioner for a nationally recognized cardiothoracic surgery program.
