Rich Buckner is a counsel in O’Melveny's Los Angeles office and a member of the Class Actions, Mass Torts, and Insurance Litigation Practice. His civil litigation practice covers a broad range of subjects, including complex insurance coverage and insurance bad faith litigation, business tort litigation, complex contract matters, intellectual property, and antitrust and unfair competition litigation in both individual and class action matters.

- Represented a frozen foods company in trade secret, breach of fiduciary duty, and unfair competition litigation against former executives of the company and their new employer
- Represented a telecommunications company in a complex contractual and billing dispute with another telecommunications entity to which it provided, and from which it received, significant telecommunications services
- Represented a multi-national corporation in defending against claims for alleged business torts in connection with a proposed high-tech satellite communications project in the former Soviet Union
- Represented a public agency in pursuing civil public corruption claims against former employees of the agency
