Rob Blashek is a partner in O’Melveny’s Century City office and a member of the Tax Practice as well as the Investment Funds and Securitization Practice. His practice covers a broad range of federal and California income tax matters, with particular emphasis on private equity, corporate acquisitions, reorganizations and financings, bankruptcy and workouts, partnerships/joint ventures, and general business tax planning.

In recent years, Rob has handled the tax aspects of numerous acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, and financings for such clients as The Univision Companies, Oaktree Capital, Legendary Pictures, Western Digital, WebMD, Houlihan Lokey, San Francisco Giants, Power-One, and Lions Gate Entertainment.

Rob has also formed or assisted in the formation of numerous investment funds for clients such as Freeman Spogli & Co.; Shamrock Capital; Black Canyon; Clarity Partners; Northstar Capital; Key Principal Partners; Vance Street Capital; and Seidler Equity Partners, among others.
