Ryan K. Yagura

Ryan Yagura is a partner in O'Melveny's Los Angeles office and a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice within the Litigation Department.  Prior to attending law school, Ryan worked as an engineer at Intel Corporation on the Pentium microprocessor and at Read-Rite Corporation on the development of thin film magnetic recording heads.  Since joining O’Melveny, Ryan has represented clients in both complex technical litigation and patent transactional matters.  In April 2010, Law 360 recognized Ryan's ability to combine technical know-how with stellar legal counsel.  Calling him "the go-to attorney when titans of the technology sector. . . face high-stakes patent litigation," the publication featured Ryan as one of 10 intellectual property lawyers under 40 to watch.

• Representing companies in patent infringement actions relating to a variety of technologies including microprocessors, chipsets, dynamic random access memory devices, field programmable gate arrays, embedded memories, wireless communications (I.E.E.E. 802.11 a/b/g), CRT and LCD computer displays, digital plasma and LCD televisions, computer peripherals, satellites, opto-electronic transceivers, lasers, switch mode power supplies, passive electronic components, and multi-media software
• Representing companies in Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission involving computer hardware, software, and chemical processes
• Representing companies in complex antitrust actions, including matters involving allegations of patent misuse and misconduct in the context of industry standard setting organizations relating to microprocessors, chipsets, and dynamic random access memory devices
• Representing companies in misappropriation of trade secrets cases involving allegations of misappropriation of source code, circuit schematics, technical manufacturing information, and other technical and competitive trade secret information
