Steven Basileo is a counsel in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice within the Litigation Department.  He has over 15 years of experience representing companies in business and technology litigation, in matters ranging from complex commercial lawsuits to intricate intellectual property disputes.

Illustrative Professional Experience

  • Represent an international manufacturer of memory chips in a series of antitrust and patent-related matters concerning DRAM technology
  • Lead trial counsel on behalf of a major pharmaceutical company in arbitration concerning an IP licensing dispute; obtained multi-million dollar arbitral award and dismissal of counterclaim
  • Trial counsel on behalf of a major pharmaceutical company in international arbitration concerning the value of intellectual property contributed to a joint venture; obtained multi-million dollar arbitral award and dismissal of counterclaim
  • Represented a major computer/technology company in a massive series of litigations involving 18 patents covering a broad array of computer disk drive technologies
  • Represented a major semiconductor company in a patent infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets case involving ten patents covering a type of integrated circuit known as a Field Programmable Gate Array
