Xuan Zhang

Counsel

Xuan Zhang is a counsel in O’Melveny’s Beijing office and a member of the firm’s Investment Funds Practice. She focuses her practice primarily on the formation of private investment funds and related investments.

Xuan has extensive experience advising sponsors of private investment funds, including buyout, infrastructure, mezzanine, real estate and venture capital funds, as well as hedge funds and funds of funds. She also has significant experience advising sponsors and investors in connection with secondary transactions involving private investment funds. Additionally, she has advised private fund sponsors in structuring carried interest and employee investment programs, and has provided regulatory guidance to a number of private fund sponsors on investment adviser registration and investment company matters.

Prior to joining O'Melveny, Xuan was an associate in the Investment Management Group at a top-tier New York law firm, focusing on the formation and operation of private investment funds.
