Ackerman, Andrews Explore Zika-Related Employment Issues in New York Law Journal

O’Melveny counsel Sloane Ackerman and associate Erin Andrews co-authored the article “The Spread of Zika Virus: What US Employers Should Know” published August 29, 2016, in the New York Law Journal. The article explores employers’ legal obligations to protect the health of their employees, while abiding by anti-discrimination and other laws with respect to this unique virus. 

“As the threat of the Zika virus swells, employers should be cognizant of the employment-related legal issues stemming from an outbreak of the virus,” the authors write.

Ackerman represents employers in the full spectrum of labor and employment matters, including defending clients in high-stakes employment litigation and arbitration. Andrews focuses her practice on labor and employment matters.
