O’Melveny is among the firms whose lawyers were tapped to participate in the vetting of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s potential running mates, The American Lawyer reported.

The article notes that Lisa Monaco, co-chair of O’Melveny’s Data Security and Privacy group and head of its Coronavirus Task Force, co-chaired the vetting committee alongside Bob Bauer, a former White House Counsel, and Biden’s campaign general counsel, Dana Remus. Prior to joining O’Melveny, Monaco worked for the US Justice Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and as Homeland Security Advisor to President Barack Obama. In 2014, she led Obama’s Ebola response and was recently appointed by Biden to sit on his public health advisory committee as COVID-19 spread throughout the US.
