Asia Business Law Journal: O’Melveny, Goodwin, White & Case in Samsung-eMagin merger

Samsung Display, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics specializing in display products, announced an agreement to acquire eMagin, an American tech company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, for US$218 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions. Samsung Display was advised by an O’Melveny team led by partner and Korea corporate practice head Daniel Kim, M&A partners Brad Finkelstein and Noah Kornblith, and counsel Hae-in Park.
