BTI Recognizes O’Melveny’s Strong Insurance Industry Client Service

March 26, 2014

O’Melveny & Myers was recently recognized by BTI Consulting Group in its Client Relationship Scorecard report “Honor Roll” for providing exceptional client service within the insurance industry.  A March 26, 2014, Law360 feature, titled “Insurance GCs Name The Law Firms That Get It Right,” highlights the BTI report and quotes O’Melveny partners Richard Goetz and Tancred Schiavoni regarding the Firm's client service success.

Goetz told the publication that, in addition to high-level written and oral communication with insurers, the Firm’s attorneys work to provide projections on current matters in order to avoid surprising clients.  Schiavoni added that upfront and honest projections are imperative to preparing legal strategies and improving cost efficiencies.  “When that relationship with an insurer is working well, you’re getting synergies that deliver punch in the courtroom because you’re making the right calls on adopting litigation strategies that generate a result that the client wants and does it cost-efficiently,” Schiavoni said in the article.

Goetz is chair of O’Melveny’s Class Actions, Mass Torts, and Insurance Litigation Practice and resides in the Firm’s Los Angeles office.  Schiavoni is a member of the Firm’s Class Actions, Mass Torts, and Insurance Litigation Practice and resides in O’Melveny’s New York office.
