Caijing: Banking’s Largest Embezzlement Case

Ronald Cheng, a former US attorney general and current partner at O’Melveny, was deeply involved in the Bank of China Kaiping case during the 22 years he served as a U.S. federal prosecutor. Cheng joined the prosecution team in 2007 and served alongside two others as a lead prosecutor. “I personally think that in the criminal justice cooperation between China and the United States, no case has so far exceeded the case size and complexity," Cheng told Caijing.
