Cheng Takes on China’s Efforts to Control Data Flow in Light of Anti-Corruption Enforcement

July 14, 2016

O’Melveny partner Ron Cheng authored the July 14, 2016, Forbes.com column “How China's Control of Data Flow Can Impact Anti-Corruption Efforts for the US.” The post deals with an issue, Cheng writes, that is “ever more important with the US government’s recent announcements that it is seeking to accelerate the pace of overseas anti-corruption enforcement.”

A particular area of focus, he added, is how a company with Chinese operations responds to demands for information from the US.

Cheng handles both anti-corruption and data privacy matters and is co-located in Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
