June 01, 2016

The June 1, 2016, Daily Journal article, “ Women in Law Hackathon Aims To Find New Ways To Advance Female Attorneys,” featured a preview interview with O'Melveny's Seth Aronson and three other firms, Bloomberg Law, and Diversity Lab to detail their work on the Hackathon event later this month. The Hackathon features teams from more than 50 law firms and numerous law schools who will compete in a “Shark Tank”-style competition at Stanford Law School to propose innovative strategies on how to advance women in the legal profession. The event, called the Women in Law Hackathon, aims to push firm leaders to approach women's advancement and retention in a way the legal profession has never tried, according to the article.

Aronson served as firmwide chair of the Securities Litigation Practice from March 2002 to March 2011 and as the Managing Partner of O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office from July 2000 through January 2008 and is now a Securities Litigation partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
