November 11, 2015 O’Melveny & Myers partner Walter Dellinger was quoted in multiple outlets on the appellate court decision saying that President Obama had overstepped his authority with his immigration plan, prompting a likely review by the Supreme Court, according to a November 10, 2015, article in the New York Times, “Obama To Appeal Immigration Ruling to Supreme Court.” “This is not the last word on the lawfulness of the president’s action,” former Acting Solicitor General Walter Dellinger said in the Centre Daily Times, November 10, 2015 article, “Obama’s Latest Immigration Defeat Sets Up Next Round of Fight,” adding that “the case is certainly ripe for Supreme Court review.”
