Dellinger Remembers Janet Reno in Interviews with Washington Post, NPR, Law360

November 07, 2016

O’Melveny partner Walter Dellinger was quoted in The Washington Post and Law360, and on NPR November 7, 2016, about Janet Reno, who died earlier that day from complications of Parkinson’s disease.

“She was a very powerful force for lawfulness,” Dellinger told the Post, which noted he is a Duke University law professor and served as solicitor general during Reno’s tenure. “She was always challenging to make sure there was a sound legal basis for what people were doing. And she was adamant about separating the department from politics.”
