The Commerce and Defense departments’ proposed rule on supply-chain security will come with heavy penalties for failure to comply, as the article reported. “Issuing the guidance as an NPRM and specifically seeking comment on a number of critical areas suggests that Commerce is open to entertaining recommendations and critiques from the private sector,” O’Melveny counsel John Dermody commented in regards to the proposed rule change.
