Sabrina Strong, the co-chair of O’Melveny’s Product Liability and Mass Torts practice, spoke with Law360 about breaking law’s glass ceiling and gave her advice for the next generation of women lawyers.
Strong, who litigates high-profile, bet-the-company trials, told the publication she advanced in her career by creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to be given to her. “[D]ig in and own the case,” she said. “Be a team player, but think like you are the only lawyer on the case. Know the facts better than anyone else. You become indispensable, and you'll get incredible opportunities.”
Strong recommended finding ways to revel in the job, too, adding: “We work too hard and the hours are too long to not be enjoying the moment.”
