Law360: Google Owes Nearly $3M Over Photo Frame Patent, Jury Told

A patent owner’s damages expert told a Texas federal jury that Google owes US$3 million for their nest smart-home products that allegedly infringed upon a digital picture frame patent. Google opened its case by calling a senior litigation paralegal for Sony who noted that “her company released a digital photo frame in April 1999. She said the device could feature a still photograph or cycle through a series of images.” O’Melveny’s Marc J. Pensabene, Darin W. Snyder, Luann L. Simmons, Mark Liang, Daniel Silverman, Stacy P. Yae, and Brad N. Garcia represent Google.
